Santorini is home to charming small villages like Fira (the capital), Oia, and Imerovigli, each offering plenty of great dining options. During our flight from Athens to Santorini, we were lucky to meet a very friendly Greek woman who generously shared her list of the best places to eat in Greece. We’re so grateful for her recommendations! In this post, we’ll share the top spots we tried.
Coffee Shop Vales

Here, you’ll find the best freddo espresso on the entire island—according to my boyfriend, who lived in Greece for many years. While I’m not a freddo espresso expert, I trust his opinion! Besides the great coffee, this spot is also fantastic for breakfast, offering delicious plates that are sure to start your day off right.
Rocca Nera Restaurant Santorini

If you’re looking to enjoy a coffee with the most beautiful view, head to Imerovigli. We had coffee at Rocca Nera Restaurant, and the views were absolutely stunning. It’s a bit pricey, but the breathtaking scenery makes it totally worth it!
Marinera Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

This spot in Fira is perfect for grabbing drinks while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. It offers an amazing view of the sea, along with a great point to watch the local shops and people through the streets. The lively atmosphere made it a great place to relax.
Yogi’s Gyros

How could we come to Greece and not try the famous Gyros and Souvlaki? We suggest Yogi’s Gyros in Fira. The food is very good.
Fratzeskos Fish Tavern
Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Y3FzszLeuMBzE5GA9
If you’re looking to try fresh fish, this is the place to go! We ordered a 1kg fish plate for two people (around 40 euros), which included a variety of fresh fish, and we absolutely loved it. It’s a must-try for seafood lovers!
